Writing has had a great influence on my life from a very early age. Growing up in a small house in Horseheads, New York, surrounded by more pets than the local pet stores possessed, I became a great fan of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Hobbit" and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" series. Soon I had branched out into more stories than I can list here from memory, though H.P. Lovecraft's writing greatly inspired my own work, as well as Larry Correia's "Monster Hunter International" series. These were and are just a few of my role models when it comes to writing. Stories don't just come in written form though, and movies and video games further contributed to my writing style, from movies like "The Thing" and "Alien" as well as games like "Resident Evil" and "Myst" I developed an interest in parasites and genetic manipulation, which tend to play some role or another in the things I create. Perhaps it is for these reasons that zombies have so captured my imagination. Be they magically animated, or disease driven hosts, zombies have been a joy to experience the stories of. Sure, zombies are really common in entertainment, but they hold a versatility to them that has led me to many hours of joyful consideration on what might work to create something similar yet new compared to the Hollywood trope.
Having read this, it may come as no surprise that I find myself drawn to include elements of horror into all of my work, be it sci-fi, fantasy, or action. By creating an amalgamation of these genres I hope to create stories to inspire the mind and make people question the everyday, be it the idea of extraterrestrial life, or a simple snow man.
Most of my skill in writing has been gained from God, and study at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where I met my Lovely wife Jesycca.
